Terms & Conditions
The terms that govern your use of our services, estimates, and invoices.
Last updated: April 4, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "the customer") and Kingdom Auto & Detail Ltd. ("we", "us", "our") covering all automotive repair, maintenance, detailing, parts supply, and related services we provide, as well as every estimate and invoice we issue. By approving an estimate, authorizing work, placing a parts order, or paying an invoice, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
These Terms should be read together with our Payment Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Warranty Policy, and Privacy Policy.
1. Estimates & Authorization of Work
- Estimates are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- An estimate is an approximation. Actual charges may differ if additional faults, parts, or labour are discovered once work begins. We will seek your approval before exceeding an approved estimate where practicable.
- No repair or billable work begins until you have approved the estimate (in writing, electronically, by signature, or verbally) and any required deposit has been received.
- By approving an estimate you authorize us to perform the described work, order the required parts, and operate your vehicle for testing and service purposes.
2. Pricing, Payment & Invoices
- All prices are quoted in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to applicable taxes and shop fees.
- Payment is due in full upon completion of the work and before the vehicle is released, unless other written arrangements have been made.
- We accept the payment methods set out in our Payment Terms & Conditions. Card payments are processed securely through Stripe; we do not store your card number.
- Title to any parts supplied does not pass to you until the related invoice is paid in full.
3. Special-Order & Vehicle-Specific Parts
- The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work and before the vehicle is released.
- If you cancel after the part has been ordered, the deposit is forfeited and any non-recoverable supplier or restocking charges remain payable.
- Estimated arrival times for special-order parts are provided by suppliers and are not guaranteed by us.
4. Refunds
All services are final and non-refundable once performed. Deposits on vehicle-specific and special-order parts are non-refundable as described above. Concerns about workmanship or parts are handled under our Warranty Policy, not by refund. Please see our full Refund Policy for details.
5. Warranty
Warranty coverage is provided based on the specific service performed and the parts used, and varies accordingly. Some services and parts carry a workmanship and/or manufacturer warranty; others are sold or performed without warranty. The warranty applicable to your job is described in our Warranty Policy and, where applicable, noted on your estimate or invoice.
6. Vehicle Drop-Off, Storage & Collection
- You are responsible for removing personal belongings from your vehicle. We are not liable for loss of or damage to personal items left in the vehicle.
- Vehicles must be collected promptly once work is complete and the invoice is paid. Storage fees may apply to vehicles left beyond a reasonable period after notification of completion.
- We may exercise a repairer's lien over a vehicle until all amounts owing for work and parts are paid in full, as permitted by British Columbia law.
7. Customer-Supplied Parts
Where we agree to install parts supplied by you, we provide no warranty on those parts, and our workmanship warranty may be limited or excluded for the affected work. We are not responsible for the fitment, quality, or performance of customer-supplied parts.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any service or part is limited to the amount you paid for the work or part concerned. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of use of your vehicle, lost income, or towing and transportation costs, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
9. Disputes & Chargebacks
If you have a concern about an invoice or a charge, please contact us first so we can work to resolve it. Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback for work that has been authorized and performed, or for a non-refundable deposit you agreed to, is contrary to these Terms. We retain estimates, signed authorizations, invoices, and service records as evidence of agreed work.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you approve an estimate or pay an invoice applies to that transaction. The current version is always available on this page.
